Matt Lupton, Managing Director
Chicago, IL, March 30, 2020 – Focus Management Group (FMG), a nationwide turnaround and restructuring firm, has enhanced its team with the addition of Matt Lupton. Matt will serve as Managing Director to meet the firm’s growing demand for its turnaround management and corporate restructuring services.

Matt is a turnaround management professional with over 10 years of business experience dealing with complex financial and operational issues in the manufacturing sector, agriculture, service, and various other industries.
Matt has successfully performed in a variety of roles including interim management roles, financial advisor, CRO, and liquidating trustee roles. He was the interim treasurer and directed financial planning and analysis at a $110 million manufacturing company, the financial advisor to a $200 million mid‐stream operation, and served as CRO to a home health company. He has worked with trustees and reorganizing debtors to develop liquidation strategies and monitor performance to plan.
Matt’s strengths are in developing and managing weekly cashflow management processes including cash planning and weekly actual to budget variance reporting. Matt creates KPI visibility, develops and implements business plans, and utilizes financial planning and analysis to drive operational turnaround and improvement.
Previous to consulting, Matt served as a Loan Workout & Restructuring Officer for a large commercial lender. In this capacity he worked closely with companies and financial advisors to craft successful operational turnaround and restructuring plans.
Matt received his MS in Business Turnaround Management from the University of Detroit Mercy, his MBA (Finance) from the Southern Methodist University, and BBA in Banking and Finance from the University of Mississippi.
