Senior Managing Director
Andrew Jarvis is a Senior Managing Director with Focus Management Group, with a concentration in financial restructuring, bankruptcies and alternative restructurings such as receiverships, ABCs and out of court restructuring, and due diligence/credit review. Andrew is experienced working on all sides of the table – as a banker, as a consultant, and as advisor to a client company.
He has experience managing distressed situations and working with substandard rated loan. As a banker he has worked with financial institutions to manage loss mitigation, recovery, and credit relationships.
His clients include technology, energy, manufacturing, entertainment and healthcare. Andrew is experienced with complex ABL structures and the need for working capital management. He has worked with difficult M&A activity outcomes and is able to guide companies and stakeholders through restructuring efforts. He has negotiated workout plans and has analyzed business plans and workout strategies.
Prior to joining Focus Management Group, Andrew served as Senior Vice President for the Special Credits Group of Opus Bank. In this role, he oversaw a distressed commercial loan portfolio with typical aggregate exposure in excess of $100 million. He also successfully resolved numerous distressed credits with excellent results through a variety of outcomes, including note sales, liquidation, and modifications and amendments.
As Vice President for the Special Assets Group for East West Bank and as an Associate/AVP for the Special Assets Department of Union Bank, Andrew managed a large and varied portfolio of distressed and substandard rated commercial loans.
Prior to workout roles in banking, Andrew worked as a turnaround and workout consultant, managing bankruptcies and providing expert witness reports. Andrew has also provided valuation services and worked with companies to develop investment and merger and acquisition strategies.
Andrew earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Utah and a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Utah, David Eccles School of Business.
