Paul Koroski is a Senior Finance and Operations Executive with over 35 years of experience in diverse industry environments including aerospace, biomedical research services and multi-site manufacturing operations for private, public and nonprofit multinational companies. He has been responsible for overseeing corporate/ operational finance, accounting, treasury, taxation, risk management, contracts and procurement, M&A due diligence and integration. He has led ERP implementations and structuring and has negotiated financing transactions with commercial banks and private equity groups.
As CFO, Treasurer and Board Member of a $200 million manufacturer of engineered non-woven textile products, Paul was responsible for turnaround management and private equity financing activities related to the purchase of a company out of bankruptcy. Along with overseeing the financial services functions, tax, corporate compliance and information technology departments, he financed and oversaw the expansion and fit out of four additional facilities to accommodate growth.
As CFO of a $150 million not-for-profit world renown bio-medical research, educational and resource institute, Paul managed all financial service functions including strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, cash and risk management, internal financial statement prep as well as overseeing year-end financial and A133 auditing and reporting functions. He successfully oversaw the administration of a $65 million bond issue through FAME and ABAG to finance building expansion and oversaw the investment of the institution’s $50 million endowment fund.
As Senior Vice President, CFO and COO of a $70 million, 3 plant textile manufacturing company, Paul was responsible for corporate strategic planning and business model functions to facilitate growth and enhance profitability. He established overseas production operations, negotiated financing with banks and institutional investors to insure adequate liquidity. Paul oversaw all the financial, tax, compliance and auditing functions and reporting. Paul was also responsible for HR department activities related to servicing two separate union facilities including benefits, health insurance, workers compensation and 401k plan.
As Corporate Controller of a $50 million multi-national government contractor in the aerospace industry, Paul was responsible for all financial and managerial accounting functions and contracts administration insuring they conform not only to GAAP but also to Federal Acquisition Regulations and Government Cost Accounting Standards. He has significant experience in percent complete accounting practices to determine revenue recognition and tax liability on government manufacturing contracts ranging from $5 million to over $100 million. Paul’s financial responsibilities also included the reporting systems for four wholly owned subsidiaries, maintaining and administering all treasury, banking, investment and financial programs. He oversaw DCAA audits, reviews and indirect cost proposals.
In a prior role as Vice President, Finance, Footwear Division for a $400 million New York Stock Exchange company, Paul was responsible for setting accounting policies, establishing internal control procedures, preparing financial statements and analysis, maintaining the cost system and all SEC reporting. He directed all treasury functions and maintained relationships with the banking and investment community. Paul implemented and supervised the company’s first data processing and personnel departments. He also worked with manufacturers in Italy and Hong Kong to outsource shoe production under different labels.
Paul received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from Bentley University. He has completed additional courses in his field at Harvard Business School, Wharton Business School Executive Education, Finance Accounting Institute and Juran Institute.
