John Nocera is a Financial Project Administrator for Focus Management Group. John works in conjunction with managing directors and consultants to maintain and monitor the client engagement process through completion, advising them of project status and progression, conducting weekly monitoring of all new projects, transitioning projects from one phase to the next, ensuring projects are going according to schedule, and confirming materials, such as table files, draft cash flows, draft reports, weekly cash flow reporting, and status of information requests, are received. John also maintains engagement data files, project task lists and provides support services in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as reviews and proofs all memos and reports.
John brings to Focus Management Group a thirty-year background in outsourced accounting and CFO Services. He began his career as an Audit Manager for Ernst & Young and moved on to be the CFO of a $30 million-dollar consulting firm, recognized as a leading Association Management firm that provides executive leadership and resources in administration, financial management, conference planning, certified professional education, communication, public relations and management consulting, to professional societies, associations, and research and educational foundations. Later in his career, he became the CFO of the American Veterinary Medical Association; a $40 million-dollar professional medical society representing more than 85,000 veterinarians.
John is a Certified Public Accountant and earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York.
