James Mundt is a Business Analyst for Focus Management Group. He provides support to senior staff on active engagements in the preparation of schedules and supporting exhibits. His main areas of concentration include financial modeling and valuation analysis, data management, historic performance analysis, and written communication of findings.
Prior to joining Focus Management Group, James served as a Financial Analyst for Wintrust Financial. In this role, James individually implemented a compensation analysis software that returns financial reports, created financial analysis ratios and plans to compare different compensation models and assisted in preparing weekly forecasts and budgets. During his time with Wintrust Mortgage, he developed models based upon unit driven data, along with future industry expectations, combined past market trends with real market trends to budget for monthly expenses and worked extensively with Secondary Marketing to develop said forecasts based on the sale of mortgage-backed securities in the market.
As a Pricing Analyst for Sears Holding Co., he analyzed data to derive results on different rounding policies, provided conclusions and formulated hypothesis using extensive Excel strategies, and was involved with data entry for diverse pricing methods.
James received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, and he is currently pursuing an MBA in Real Estate Finance and Investments from DePaul University.
