Eric Carl is a Managing Director for Focus. He brings to Focus over 20 years of experience as an accomplished financial executive and has a vast array of knowledge in the trucking, packaging, manufacturing, machining, and the behavioral healthcare industries.
Prior to joining Focus, Eric served as Senior Project Manager for International Development Services, Inc. where his notable achievements include, but are not limited to, changing the behavior of companies through critical path methodology. He streamlined the manufacturing process and codified sales process for a corrugated box manufacturer, resulting in a 125% year-over-year increase in EBITDA. Additionally, he designed and implemented a production based incentive plan for a company, which resulted in a 45% increase in productivity over the course of six months.
Eric was an Executive Vice President for a Florida based organic waste company that specialized in transforming yard waste, brush and other organic debris into biofuel or soils supplements. He led the company in growing revenue over 75% during his tenure and streamlined the financial reporting and logistic systems. Eric has served as CFO for a healthcare services portfolio company and was involved in behavioral substance abuse facilities.
During his time as a Public Finance Investment Banker with Bear Sterns & Co., Inc. and Raymond James and Associates, Eric spearheaded the structuring and pricing on nearly $5 billion of debt capital markets transactions and executed nearly $1.5 billion of Senior and Comanaged debt capital markets transactions as the lead banker supervising ten investment bankers.
Eric received his MBA from the University of Florida, Warrington College of Business, and a Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University. Eric also served our country as a captain in the US Army.
